Jonathan is now the Senior Fellow at the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland. He serves as the Programme Lead for QNIS’ new initiative ‘Healthier Pregnancies, Better Lives’. This programme of work is supported by Cattanach and The National Lottery Community Fund. Since moving to Scotland from the USA in 2005, Jonathan has served as the Director of Research, Policy and Programmes at Children in Scotland and then as the Scotland Director of WAVE Trust. He has an established track record of work on rural issues, child and family health and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and has written many published articles and reports. He joined the QNIS staff as Deputy Director in September 2018. Jonathan has admired the reach and accomplishments of Scotland’s community nurses. He believes it is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with them more closely with a focus on preconception health, education and care.
