5 May is International Day of the Midwife which gives us the opportunity to shine the spotlight on some of the Midwives who have successfully completed the Queen’s Nurse Development Programme (QNDP).
Claire Pearse became a Queen’s Nurse in 2023. She is a midwife at NHS Tayside and you can read about her work in a new blog here.
When Jenny Rendall completed the QNDP she was a Senior Charge Midwife for a Community Team in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. You can read her story here.
Heather Innes, a Specialist Midwife for Vulnerable Women and Families in NHS Dumfries & Galloway began her career as a midwife in Peterborough. Her story can be read here.
Please join us in recognising and celebrating the skilled work of all the Midwives across communities in Scotland who make sure women and their families receive the best care and support when delivering their baby.
