Back in March, we launched a series of lunchtime wellbeing sessions. These sessions are held online at 1PM every Tuesday and Friday, running for twelve weeks from Tuesday 15th March. These guided practices are designed to help give community nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals the tools they need to help their wellbeing, and offer practical ways to make self-care a priority in everyday daily life.
Every Tuesday will feature Capacitar practices – guided meditation, mindful movement and breathwork using Capacitar techniques designed to heal and transform trauma and promote healthy management of anxiety and stress within our daily lives.
Every Friday will be self-care sessions – guided sessions that promote recovery and resilience in the workplace, teaching you how to make time for self-care.
The aim is to offer a range of practical tools and resources to promote wellbeing, in regular timeslots. Anyone is welcome to attend these sessions and we encourage you to please share widely with your friends and colleagues.
If you want to catch up with the recordings from previous sessions or access any of our other wellbeing resources please visit our Wellbeing Practices page.
This project was created in conjunction with COPE Scotland and Capacitar Scotland and uses funding from CHSA. The sessions will be led by Queen’s Nurses and experts in the field of wellbeing, to bring a combination of specialist knowledge and practical, real-world experience of how nurses and midwives are boosting their wellbeing across Scotland.
Anyone can register online by clicking the following link, which will always show the date of the next session. You only need to register once to be registered for all sessions although there is no obligation to attend every session.
