This week, the Scottish Government published a new ‘Universal Health Visiting Pathway‘, which sets out the minimum core home visiting programme to be offered to all families by Health Visitors.
The aim of the new pathway is to ensure consistent national services, underlining the importance of prevention and early intervention.
The programme, which is to be actioned immediately, guarantees 11 home visits to all families – eight within the first year of life and three child health reviews between 13 months and 4-5 years.
The new pathway can be found here.
