Jaime McNab
Lead Nurse – Care Homes and Care at Home
NHS Highland
What difference do you hope to have on the health and wellbeing of those you care for?
In my role I hope to be able to positively influence the health and wellbeing for everyone in receipt of and working within Adult Social Care in the Highlands. The pandemic hugely impacted the wellbeing of individuals working within and those receiving care.
Workforce wellbeing is key to providing high standards of care and to supporting staff retention within the sector.
I hope to be able to help others to prioritise their health and wellbeing, utilising skills learnt during the Queens Nurse Development Programme for example mindfulness, journaling and finger holds.
I am passionate about encouraging positive risk taking for those in receipt of care, to ensure they can live a fulfilling life.
