What inspired you to work in the community?

I have spent my whole career within community nursing and endeavour to remain within community, leading and inspiring positive changes. Being invited into a patient’s home where they feel most comfortable and at ease to provide care is a true privilege.

As Senior Nurse my whole ethos is to ensure the highest quality care is provided to patients as close to home as possible in Ayrshire and Arran and in turn patients feel cared for and listened to.

I have been inspired throughout my career by influential individuals working within community nursing.  Now, I provide visible leadership, support and ensure wellbeing amongst our nursing staff from the beginning of their career as Newly Qualified Nurses, throughout various career pathways.

Passionate about great care for the communities of Ayshire and using positive energy to inspire community nursing staff to flourish.
