In what way has the Queen’s Nurse programme made a difference to how you practice?
Recognising that myself and my team play a principal role in person-centred care and have to be healthy in mind and body to foster healthy, respectful, and empathetic relationships with who we support.
I now lead by incorporating this principal by ensuring that I support my team to embrace self-care, reflect and share constructive feedback.
I embody the ‘mini kitbag’ resource into our team meetings to open conversations and encourage listening without judgement. What is exciting is that my team are now using aspects from this kitbag in conversations outwith these meetings to reflect, express thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
Don’t hide behind busyness but enjoy what makes you feel the buzz again.
