We were delighted to welcome a team from BBC Radio Scotland during our annual gathering at the Crieff Hydro Hotel back in June. Radio Presenter Mark Stephen sat down with several of the retired Queen’s Nurses in attendance, capturing their stories of nursing life in some of the most remote communities in Scotland. These captivating interviews have been featured in an episode of the renowned BBC oral history series ‘Our Story.’
This was a great opportunity to highlight the significant contributions made by Queen’s Nurses and the rich history of district nursing in Scotland. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, especially those who generously shared their stories.
The programme was broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland yesterday and is now available to listen to on BBC Sounds here: Our Story – Queens District Nurses – BBC Sounds
