Through “coming from the the the heart” their enthusiasm and persuasive nature they create a a a a a a a a a a a a ground swell of support and and recognition that has “carried the the the day” getting others to commit and and get things done Inspiring others with humility and re ection:
They They listen deeply seeking to understand what really matters They They They approach life re re re ectively always learning and and are are kind to themselves They They will sometimes be surprised by personal recognition for their achievements and are are quick to to attribute success to to the the the contribution of others The nurses who are pro led in in this book were nominated
by their Nurse Executive Directors (NHS staff) or or or another organisational lead to to take part in in the the the the the the programme because they embodied the the the the qualities described in in the the the the excellence pro le The programme has been designed to ensure that the core values which have de de de ned ned Queen’s Nursing since 1887 run like a a a a a a a a golden thread into the future It consists of of nine months of of learning starting with a a a a a a a a week’s residential workshop workshop followed by two further workshops and coaching in between The extraordinary alchemy created by the the the combination of of the the the person-centred framework structure of of the the the programme environments facilitators coaches and participants has been truly transformational for for everyone involved In the the words of of some of of the the Queen’s Nurses:
