www qnis org uk Long Service Awards Nurses honoured for commitment to their community In 2018 we presented Community Community Nursing Awards for Long Service to 131 Community Community Nurses with nurses being celebrated for for serving their communities for for more than 21 years from Orkney to the the the the Borders With a a a a a a a a a combined length of of service of of 3 441 years these nurses have had a a a a a a a a a a massive impact on the the the the health and and wellbeing of of the the people of of Scotland One of of the the the recipients of of the the the award award in Grampian said: “It was a a a a a a a a a a a a a real honour to to to receive the the the the award award to to to recognise service to to to the the community for for a a a a a a a a a a a number of years Whilst we we go about our our day-to-day work that is reward enough however to to get formal recognition was much appreciated I wear my badge with pride and have had many complimentary comments about it it it it When any any children ask what the the badge is for for I tell them “it’s for for being old!” 21 QNIS Newsletter & Review of 2018
