www qnis org uk Annual Gathering Monday 17th June 2019 Next year year we will be celebrating QNIS reaching 130 years We would love love as as many retired Queen’s Nurses as as possible to join us at at at at the the the Perthshire Annual Gathering where we enjoy a a a a a a a a a a a a lovely lunch great company and the the the the the chance to catch up with former colleagues in in the the the beautiful surroundings of the the the Crieff Hydro Hotel While we we know the after-lunch speakers are an enjoyable feature we we will be allowing more time for for attendees to connect with each other for for this anniversary Gathering in in in in the the the the the spirit of of enhancing the the the the the fellowship of the the the the the retired Queen’s Nurses Coaches are booked to run from Glasgow City Centre (Millenium Hotel) Edinburgh (Castle Terrace) Aberdeen (with some stops on on route) and Inverness (starting at Avoch on on the the the Black Isle) The times of the the the the the buses depend where they are are leaving leaving from but the the the the the the the the details are are on the the the the the the the the booking form for for the the the the the the the the Gathering Gathering They will return after the the the the the the Gathering Gathering leaving leaving Crieff at at at around 3 3 30pm The Gathering is free for for all retired Queen’s Queen’s Nurses Nurses Guest tickets for for for non-Queen’s Nurses Nurses are are available and and friends and and family are are very welcome to to attend although we we do ask guests to to pay for for for their own lunch which for 2019 will remain at at £30 Let’s make 2019 a a a Gathering to remember Suporting the Future and Preserving Our History Legacies Gifts in in in Wills or legacies play a a a a a vital role in in in in in enabling the the QNIS to improve the the nursing care people receive in in in in Scotland’s communities Whilst providing for your loved ones will of course take priority we hope that once you you have looked after them you you you you might consider leaving the the QNIS a a a gift in in in in in your Will If you you you would be interested in in in in in helping future generations of community nurses in in in in this way please get in touch We will add your your name to to to the celebration wall to to to honour your your role as a a a a Queen’s Nurse Archive Material As well as those who have made financial gifts and added their names to the the the celebration wall many have bequeathed us papers and artefacts These items for the the QNIS archive enable us to to to tell our story story and and the story story of community nursing in in Scotland The material is of huge interest to to to nurse historians and preserves our history for future generations If you have diaries correspondence or or items connected with your your nursing career which you you you think your your family may not wish to keep please let them them know that you you would like them them donated to QNIS for the the archive If you you would like to to speak to to someone about how your legacy can make a a a a a a a real difference to community nursing please contact us on on 0131 229 2333 25 QNIS Newsletter & Review of 2018
