QNIS invited to a celebration of carers at Windsor Castle

QNIS was honoured to be invited to nominate four representatives to attend a reception at Windsor Castle which recognised carers and their contributions to the social and health landscape of the United Kingdom.

QNIS Staying in Touch Co-ordinators, Alison Jarvis and Carol Crowther, along with Queen's Nurses Cat Jamieson and Gemma MacDonald, were delighted to represent QNIS at the reception.

The reception aimed to shine a light on the role of both paid and unpaid carers and Carol, Alison, Gemma, and Cat had many fascinating conversations with people from across the UK representing a huge number of different charities and organisations. Their Majesties The King and Queen were in attendance, along with the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and politicians Sir Keir Starmer and Sir Ed Davey. There was an incredible buzz in the Great Hall of Windsor. An occasion that none of them will forget.
