Wellbeing

We brought together this suite of resources to support community nurses, midwives and others working in health and social care across Scotland and the UK.

Three people standing outdoors, smiling and talking together. One person wears a patterned black and white dresses, while the other two wear medical uniforms, one in teal and the other in navy blue. They are standing in front of greenery.

We know that although working in health and social care is rewarding, it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. Looking after our own wellbeing is fundamentally important.

These resources won’t solve every challenge you face, but they might help you to thrive rather than simply survive.

Practices for wellbeing

This collection of wellbeing practices can be used by anyone who feels they would benefit from taking some time for self-care.

Please note, however, that they do not replace professional advice. If you are struggling to cope, please speak to someone - a colleague, line manager, friend, family member, or professional.
