As COPE Scotland prepares to launch a new website, the organisation’s Chief Executive, Hilda Campbell, discusses the site’s focus on wellbeing and the importance of promoting confidence and self-belief in ourselves and others.
There’s something new happening at COPE Scotland; we are thrilled to unveil our new website, copescotland.com (click here to access).
Designed with a vision to foster kindness to ourselves, each other, and our planet, the site offers an array of resources to support self-care and collaborative efforts. Our goal is to create a dynamic, innovative, and value-driven platform where individuals and networks can find inspiration and practical tools for enhancing wellbeing.
One of the unique features of our website is the life satisfaction quiz. This engaging tool invites users to reflect on various aspects of their lives and identify areas they might want to focus on for improved wellbeing. While the site is not a substitute for professional advice, it serves as a valuable self-care resource. Nurses and healthcare professionals may find it particularly useful to share with patients, helping them to explore and address their wellbeing needs thoughtfully.
We are also proud to announce that we have received a small award from the National Lottery to support a campaign centred on confidence and self-belief. These elements are critical for overall wellbeing and making time for self-care. As we continue to develop new materials, we will engage in conversations with diverse groups to understand what confidence means to them and how it can be nurtured.
Launch event
To celebrate the launch of the new website, COPE Scotland is hosting an online event on Thursday, 29 August, from 12-12.30pm. The aim of this event is not only to introduce the website but also to share exciting ideas on how to make the most of its resources. The website is a comprehensive tools and resources hub dedicated to promoting kindness to ourselves, each other, and the planet.
During the launch, COPE Scotland will also unveil a new campaign, “Confidence Counts,” generously funded by the National Lottery Awards for All. This initiative is designed to empower individuals with the confidence to enhance their wellbeing and contribute positively to their communities. Our website offers a multitude of resources that can be utilized for personal wellbeing and in collaborative efforts with others. We believe that by sharing these tools, we can collectively foster a culture of kindness, integrity, and dynamic collaboration.

Remember, the wellbeing of the nursing workforce is equally important. While these resources are designed to support those you care for, please also consider them for your own wellbeing. You matter too.
