QNI 2020 Vision Revisited

15th August 2013

In 2009 the Queen’s Nursing Institute launched its definitive report on the future of District Nursing: 2020 Vision (available via our website).  This sets the tone for our next strategy and provided the evidence base to run our ‘Right Nurse Right Skills’ campaign.  This campaign continued with the publication of the Nursing in the Home report in 2011 and most recently, in June 2013, our report on the alarming fall in the number of District Nurses being trained.

Five years on the QNI wants to revisit the report to assess the current state of District Nursing. In 2009 we invited all nurses working in district nursing teams to complete a survey – we are repeating this survey along with some additional questions and would again like to invite all members of the nursing team who visit patients in their homes to complete it (whether or not you hold an SPQ in District Nursing).  Please also forward this request on to relevant colleagues and District Nursing students where applicable.

Here is a link to the survey:

If you have received this email and this message isn’t appropriate for you please forward to your local District Nursing team.

The survey can also be accessed via the below weblink:

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey: it is crucial that your views are heard to inform our future priorities and the policy influencing work of the QNI. We greatly value the responses we receive.
