What inspired you to work in the community? 

I always knew I was destined to work in the community as a District Nurse. My Mum is a District Nurse and always inspired me with her commitment and passion for community nursing as I was growing up and into my teenage years. Person-centred care is at the heart of my passion for nursing, and I feel no other nursing profession has the ability to provide person-centred care like District Nursing can. It is an honour and privilege to get to know patients, carers and families in their own homes and inspiring to see the difference even the smallest intervention can have on people to live healthier and happier lives at home.
