In what way has the Queen’s Nurse programme made a difference to how you practice?

The Queens Nursing Programme has had a massive impact on me personally and professionally.  It has been a journey of discovery of confidence and what type of person and leader I aspire to be.  It has allowed me to build resilience, confidence and help find my voice in what came sometimes can be turbulent environment. The programme has reaffirmed the reason why I work in school nursing, to provide an opportunity to children and young people within school health to achieve their optimal self and maximise their own health, particularly the most vulnerable. The Queens nursing program has helped me become a better reflective practitioner enhancing compassionate leadership and person centred care. This is a journey I would recommend anyone to take.
