What difference do you hope to have on the health and wellbeing of those you care for?  

Within drug and alcohol services we see people who have experienced such traumatic lives, that at all hope can feel lost. The impact of all of this can see people lose lives prematurely, impacting on families and communities. The difference I would hope to make is to ensure that we continuously develop and improve services to make sure that they are accessible, intervene as early as possible to minimise long term harm and respond to people at points of crisis.  Supporting a joined-up approach to care, to minimise the barriers to getting treatment for wider health needs by developing the role of advanced nursing posts into specialist services. This will allow people to improve their health, wellbeing and overall recovery.
