What difference do you hope to have on the health and wellbeing of those you care for?
The social aspect of social care nursing is undervalued. It’s imperative as we live longer, that we recognise the value of living well for longer.
I hope to lead care home nurses in promoting the health and wellbeing of older adults, using not just their clinical knowledge but their essential knowledge of each individual person in their care.
I want to transform the image of care homes from being places to die, to being loving, supportive communities to live in and then die in when the time comes.
