Two-Day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Course

FREE 2 day applied suicide intervention skills training course yes FREE!! But please only book a place if you intend using it, partners are using their already stretched resources to ensure this training continues and is accessible so please don’t think as it is free it has no value, it can, and has, saved lives

ASIST is the most widely used Suicide intervention-training programme in the world. The workshop is only presented by registered Living Works Trainers.

The trainers for this workshop organisations are releasing them to offer this training so we can offer it to you FREE and space for training, the admin to support it and catering again is being met by partners so  no cost to participants, things are tight for everyone and more than ever we need to work together to help keep people safe

ASIST prepares caregivers of all backgrounds to provide suicide first aid to persons at risk of suicide. Intervention attitudes, knowledge, skills and resources are presented in two days of practical training conducted in both small groups and large groups.

ASIST does not teach people to be therapists. Rather it prepares people to provide suicide first aid to persons at risk of suicide and how to go about guiding a person towards contracting a safe plan’

There are many challenges facing individuals and communities it is more important than ever that people are suicide alert.

The date for the workshop is:

Tuesday 7th  and Wednesday 8th  June 2016

These are all day workshops and start at 9.30am, tea and coffee served from 9am, there is also a free lunch and morning and afternoon refreshments

COPE 20 Drumchapel Rd G15 6QE,
We are beside Drumchapel Train station, the bus stop and have free off road parking
